The City of Jackson offers the amenities of an urban area, but still embraces a small-town aura. A family-friendly city, Jackson was the birth place for the Republican Party. With a location at the crossroads of I-94 and US-127, Jackson provides residents and visitors with easy access to shopping, restaurants, outdoor activities and more.Having 23 public golf courses in the county makes Jackson a great place to get away on the back nine. We boast of high quality courses, like The Grande Golf Club. Other premiere courses include the Cascades Golf Course, nestled right on the edge of town. Jackson boasts a plethora of restaurants, from Mexican to steak. There’s something for all different types of diets, and everyone in your family will enjoy the pleasant atmosphere and unique dining experience at one of many Jackson restaurants.
Restaurants located downtown include Bella Notte Ristorante, specializing in Italian cuisine, and Daryl’s Downtown which features seafood, creative entrees and delicious desserts. Also located downtown is the award-winning Crazy Cowboy.

Lodging accommodations can be found off the highway, near the track or near downtown. These lodging places range from full service hotels to a comfy bed and breakfast. Countless events and festivities occur in Jackson year-round, including the Hot Air Jubilee, Civil War Muster, Michigan Shakespeare Festival, Mini Grand Prix and more.
